Compared to the traditional concrete structure the Frame Structure Cooling Towers are a valid alternative
from cost of erection, time of completion and flexibility points of view.

Ilmed Impianti has a long list of references of Frame Structure Cooling Towers, using both Carbon Steel and
Pultruded FRP beams.

Structural design is performed using advanced calculation software, and construction is made with
high quality materials explicitly approved for Cooling Towers applications. Robustness of Ilmed Impianti
structures make this kind of Cooling Towers suitable for hash application like in seismic areas or when
high additional loads are applied. Easy and fast frame assembling, in order to minimize erection costs, are
considered during the designs.

TGK structure is made of hot dip galvanized steel profiles or of stainless steel in case of extremely severe
applications.
TGK series is easy to be erected and installed without involving any specialized erection company. Fast
installation and long life make this kind of Cooling Towers cost effective and a good investment both for
new and existing plants.

>  TRK SERIES PULTRUDED FRP CT

Pultruded FRP Cooling Towers have all Steel Cooling Tower advantages plus an extreme resistance
to corrosion. This makes them suitable for application in very aggressive environment, like sea water
applications, being cost effective compared to Stainless Steel Cooling Towers.

Ilmed Impianti uses high quality Pultruded FRP profiles, specifically approved for Cooling Tower application,
with following specific characteristics:
    UV resistant;
    Flame retardant (ASTM E 84);
    Compliant with CTI STD-136 and CTI STD-137 codes;
    Large application temperature range for extreme weather conditions.
